On my asus M2N-E amd64x2 with ubunutu 7.10 cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/temperature
always returns 40 C regardless lm-sensors has the two core temperatures varying between 37 and 40 when not a lot is happening, apart from Boinc, and rising when some intensive foreground work is done.
