Editing the launchers is helpful, but does not address the original request.
I know several work-arounds, and yes Adept is not the default for Xcfe. However, it should work even for beginners if they should choose to (or happen to) install it. For example, in teaching it is very useful to be able to explain package managers by having students switch back and forth between two. The effect is lost, especially on beginners, if the is a 30minute session before hand to make the arrangements necessary to run second package manager. Or for example, when writing guides for site-wide deployment, it would be useful to be able to choose the non-default tools so as to be able to harmonize between desktops. Staff and students may not have exactly the same preference (or system requirements) for desktop environments, but if the same applications are available, then one set of guides can be published for the whole group. ** Changed in: xubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Status: Won't Fix => Incomplete -- adept manager cannot run in Xfce intalled in Kubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163585 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
