Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
When I go to the screensaver preferences, and select the "Vlechtwerk" screensaver (couldn't find the English version of this Dutch word), gnome-screensaver-preferences crashes with no special output. Capturing the output, I only got: ** (gnome-screensaver-preferences:12193): DEBUG: Found best visual for GL: 0x21 which doesn't mean anything, because I also get this output when running other screensavers. However, only way to get out of the freeze, is hard-reset the system, or keep CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE pressed (sometimes, X can still detect this one and reboots itself). The actual screensaver viewer (gnome-screensaver, which is activated on timeout) is also affected. No other screensavers show this behaviour. I'm using gnome-screensaver 2.20.0-2ubuntu1, in combination with nvidia-glx-new 169.09+2.6.24.6-4.15 (I got this error after the recent nvidial-glx update, as well as with the previous version) ** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gnome-screensaver vlechtwerk -- gnome-screensaver (and gnome-screensaver-preferences) crash upon displaying "Vlechtwerk" screensaver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/185896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
