Public bug reported: The current version of `feathernotes` in the Ubuntu repositories (1.3.2) is severely outdated and relies on the legacy Qt5 stack. Upstream has completely migrated to Qt6 as of version 1.4.0.
Since Ubuntu 26.04 (Resolute) already ships with the modern Qt 6.10.2 stack, I am requesting a package update to 1.4.0. To prove that 1.4.0 builds natively and cleanly on Resolute without breaking existing libraries, I have compiled it locally. The build unifies the core binary and translation files, resolving previous conflicts with the legacy `feathernotes-l10n` package. The compiled `.deb` package for verification and complete build logs can be found in my repository release: https://github.com/LAG-Lagendary/FeatherNotes/releases/tag/1.4.0-ubuntu Build Environment Proof: - OS: Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS (resolute) / Ubuntu Studio - Compiler: gcc 15.2.0 - Stack: qt6-base-dev 6.10.2+dfsg-7 Please sync/update the package in the official archive. ** Affects: feathernotes (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2170761 Title: [Update Request] Update feathernotes to 1.4.0 (Qt6 migration completed) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/feathernotes/+bug/2170761/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
