Title: linux-firmware-amd-misc upgrade leaves unowned amdtee firmware
  files and causes dpkg warning

I encountered the following warning during a normal package upgrade on
Linux Mint based on Ubuntu 24.04 Noble:

dpkg: warning: unable to delete old directory '/lib/firmware/amdtee':
  Directory not empty

The upgrade itself completed successfully and I have not observed any
  functional problems.

After the upgrade, I inspected /lib/firmware/amdtee and found both older
uncompressed .bin files and newer compressed .bin.zst files.

  Current contents include:

  773bd96f-b83f-4d52-b12dc529b13d8543.bin
  773bd96f-b83f-4d52-b12dc529b13d8543.bin.zst

  f29bb3d9-bd66-5441-afb88acc2b2b60d6.bin
  f29bb3d9-bd66-5441-afb88acc2b2b60d6.bin.zst

  amd_pmf_v3.bin
  amd_pmf_v3.bin.zst

  amd_pmf_v3_1.bin
  amd_pmf_v3_1.bin.zst

  Running:

  dpkg -S /lib/firmware/amdtee/*

shows that the .bin.zst files and symlinks are owned by linux-firmware-
amd-misc, while the corresponding uncompressed .bin files and symlinks
  appear to be unowned.

  Relevant installed package versions:

  linux-firmware:
  20240318.git3b128b60.0ubuntu3.1

  linux-firmware-amd-misc:
  20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu3.1

  linux-firmware-amd-graphics:
  20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu3.2

All three packages are being installed directly from:

  http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu noble-updates/main

This appears to be residue from the transition or split of AMD firmware
files from linux-firmware into linux-firmware-amd-misc, where older
uncompressed files remain in /lib/firmware/amdtee and prevent dpkg from
  removing the old directory cleanly.

I have intentionally left the directory unchanged in case maintainers
need additional information about the post-upgrade state.

I initially attempted to report this using:

  ubuntu-bug linux-firmware

but Apport refused the report with:

"This does not seem to be an official Linux package."

The packages are, however, installed directly from the Ubuntu Noble
Updates repository; the host system is Linux Mint, which may be why
  Apport rejected the report.

  Expected behavior:

The package upgrade/migration should either safely remove obsolete
firmware files or otherwise complete without the "Directory not empty"
  warning.

+ [ Test Case ]
+
+ Install linux-firmware-amd-misc and check that it doesn't provide any
amdtee/* firmwares:
+ $ dpkg -L linux-firmware-amd-misc | grep amdtee
+
+ [ Where Problems Could Occur ]
+
+ Dropping firmware that might have been loaded, potentially causing the
+ usual firmware related issues. In this particular case it's AMD platform
+ management firmware.
