Tested version: libmutter-18-0 / mutter-common / mutter-common-bin / gir1.2-mutter-18 = 50.1-0ubuntu2.5
System: Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS (resolute), GNOME Shell 50.1, Wayland session, kernel 7.0.0-38-generic, Intel Core Ultra 5 225H / Arrow Lake-P (Arc 130T/140T, i915). Tablet: GAOMON M6 (256c:0064) driven by OpenTabletDriver 0.6.x in Artist Mode — the stylus reaches the compositor as an OpenTabletDriver virtual tablet device, not as a native Wacom through libwacom. Before the update it reproduced exactly as described: with a fullscreen window (F11), lifting the stylus off the tablet for ~3 s killed stylus input completely (couldn't draw or click, pointer gone), while the mouse kept working; opening the overview (Super) or switching windows restored it temporarily. Test plan from comment #2, plus the fullscreen case: 1. Xournal++ maximized: lift the stylus for 3+ s, place it back → draws normally. 2. Xournal++ fullscreen (F11), the case that reproduced reliably before: lift for 3+ s, draw again → stylus input is not lost. ✅ 3. Dragging the stylus from one window to another → works. ✅ Side observation: the compositor assertion flood is gone. Before the update the journal filled with meta_window_set_stack_position_no_sync: assertion 'window->stack_position >= 0' failed (9 occurrences in the previous boot); after the update it is down to a couple of occurrences and it no longer repeats while the stylus is in use. (Not literally zero — it still fires once when a window is mapped/unmapped — but it is no longer correlated with the stylus breaking.) ▎ So 50.1-0ubuntu2.5 fixes it here, and since my device is a virtual tablet rather than a Wacom, this suggests the fix is not specific to the Wacom path. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2169577 Title: wacon intuos stop working in xournalpp To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mutter/+bug/2169577/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
