Public bug reported:
OS: Kubuntu 26.10 RC.
Steps to reproduce: Install the OS with manual partitioning, creating a
300 MiB fat32 /boot/efi partition, a 4 GB ext4 /boot partition, a 16 GB
BTRFS / partition with encryption enabled, and an arbitrarily sized XFS
/home partition with encryption enabled.
Expected result: Successful installation.
Actual result: Installation crashes during partitioning.
This kind of behavior occurred in the past even with full-disk
installations, but was resolved by patching Calamares to align sectors
to 4K boundaries in some instances. This fix appears to have been
incomplete, so in the interest of time, I'd like to simply lower the
cryptsetup sector size in kpmcore.
** Affects: kpmcore (Ubuntu)
