Still reproducible on a newer stack (retested 2026-10-08): - Kernel: 7.0.0-38-generic (Ubuntu 25.10, HWE) - BIOS: R2XET42W 1.22 (09/07/2026) - SMU firmware: 93.25.0, program 11 (was 93.23.0 in the original report)
With amd_pmc blacklisted, s2idle suspend/resume works reliably. After `modprobe amd_pmc` (driver binds to AMDI000A:00 normally, no errors in dmesg), the very first `rtcwake -m mem -s 20` cycle hangs hard: the journal ends at "PM: suspend entry (s2idle)", no resume, and only a forced power-off recovers. Running tally with amd_pmc loaded: 8/8 hangs, across kernels 6.17.0-40, 6.17.0-41 and 7.0.0-38, BIOS 1.20 and 1.22, docked and undocked, AC and battery. Without amd_pmc: all cycles clean. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2167115 Title: amd_pmc: hard hang entering s2idle on ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 AMD (Ryzen AI 9 HX PRO 370) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2167115/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
