Public bug reported:
Sometimes a person will have a large-ish (~17MB) single-line text file -
such as the saved output of some web API that doesn't pretty-print its
output.
A ~17MB file with 1000 lines loads OK - but a 17MB file with a single
line causes gedit to hang for a very, very long time. And of course if
you kill it, you lose all your tabs - not just the one with the problem
document.
I've observed this with plain text files, as well as JSON files. I've
also seen it with and without the 'enable text wrapping' option enabled.
Thanks for taking the time to read my bug report!
