On the first point, *should* ubuntu-raspi-settings support operation with linux-image-generic? We never test this configuration, as the only supported kernel on the Pi under Ubuntu is linux-image-raspi. Is the suggestion that ubuntu-raspi-settings should conflict with linux-image- generic? Or that reset_brcmstb should be built in linux-image-generic? Or something else? > Second thing: In case I upgrade ubuntu-raspi-settings, the initrd is not updated on package upgrade. Hmmm, if we're affecting initrd configuration, we should be activating the update-initramfs trigger (which I believe should hit both dracut and initramfs-tools, whichever is installed). Given ubuntu-raspi-settings is referencing files from linux-firmware-raspi, we should have a runtime dep on it. I'll add that.
