Description:
The installation of linux-headers-7.0.0-34-generic failed while
updating/installing system packages on Ubuntu 24.04.
The graphical package manager reported that a problem occurred while
installing software and Apport identified the affected package as:
linux-headers-7.0.0-34-generic 7.0.0-34.34~24.04.1
I was attempting to update the kernel-related packages on the system.
The package installation did not complete successfully.
I am submitting this report so that the automatically collected package
manager and dpkg logs can be inspected to determine the underlying
cause.
Expected result:
The Linux headers package should install successfully.
Actual result:
Installation of linux-headers-7.0.0-34-generic failed and Ubuntu displayed an
Apport error dialog.
