This change is rather unpleasant as it changes a public struct, therefore it is a API and ABI-breaking. It affects the igraph project, which no longer compiles.
We used a test on `LIBXML_VERSION` to determine what to expect in the `xmlEntity` struct. However, Ubuntu now has a different struct layout in libxml2 version 2.9 than what the standard 2.9 release has. I do not see a robust way to test for which struct layout we have.
