Under resolute (gnome-shell-ubuntu-extensions 50.26.04.7ubuntu), the
Super+Left and Super+Right shortcuts that I typically use to tile
windows left or right often fail to work correctly, but only in specific
applications.
In case it affects reproduction, under the settings, I have "Enhanced
Tiling" enabled, "Tiling Popup" disabled, and "Tile Groups" disabled. My
setup has a single monitor with 1920x1080 resolute. Reproduction only
works in certain applications. In particular gnome-settings always works
perfectly here, as does gnome-calculator, gnome-terminal, and nautilus.
The firefox snap *mostly* works, but sometimes displays the faulty
behaviour. But in my experience, the signal-desktop snap, quassel, and
keepassxc all consistently demonstrate the following faulty behaviour:
* Start the application (e.g. signal-desktop or keepassxc)
* Press Super+Right to tile the application to the right
* Application becomes the correct size, but centers on the screen
* Press Super+Left
* Application animates tiling to the left but stays centered on the screen
* Press Super+Up
* Application maximizes successfully
* Press Super+Right
* Application successfully tiles to the right
* Press Super+Left
* Application centers again
* Press Super+Up
* Application maximizes successfully
* Press Super+Left
* Application successfully tiles to the left
In other words, the application can be successfully tiled, but only from
a maximized pose. In all other circumstances, the tiling sizes the
window correctly, but fails to position it correctly. With these
applications there also appear to be issues dragging to the left or
right size to tile them (again, the application is sized correctly but
positioned incorrectly).
