Expected behaviour
Internal speakers, internal microphone, 3.5 mm headphone jack and HDMI audio
should be available in Ubuntu sound settings.
Actual behaviour
No internal audio device is available on the Dell 14S DS14260. Internal
speakers, microphone and headphone jack do not work. On Ubuntu 24.04.4, ALSA
lists three HDMI PCM devices, but PipeWire exposes only "Dummy Output", so HDMI
audio is not functional either.

The issue was also reproduced with kernel 7.0.0-31-generic and SOF firmware
2.14.1.1. On this version, ALSA does not register any sound card.

Testing performed
- Reproduced on clean installations of Ubuntu 24.04.4 and 26.04.1
- Reproduced on multiple Dell 14S DS14260 laptops from the same
corporate batch
- BIOS updated from 1.2.2 to 1.7.1 with no improvement
- Dell ePSA diagnostics passed with result code 2000-0000
- Internal speakers work correctly during the Dell pre-boot audio test
- SOF firmware, ALSA UCM, PipeWire and WirePlumber packages verified
- PipeWire, pipewire-pulse and WirePlumber are active
- Forcing dsp_driver=1 does not recover internal speakers, microphone or
headphone jack
The hardware works during the Dell pre-boot diagnostic. The evidence indicates
a Linux compatibility issue with the SoundWire configuration reported by ACPI.
Please advise whether a kernel machine-driver match, SoundWire/SDCA fix,
topology update or additional diagnostic information is required.
