I am sorry to forget to give you some info. I am using the Ubuntu Gutsy. There are some terminal output on the txt file attached. As you can see on the alsa project web site, there is a driver for my card, it is the ens-1371. My chipset is the CT5880 (1373).
Below, I am pasting the error message shown by the volume control applet on the panel: "O controle de volume não encontrou nenhum elemento e/ou dispositivos de controle. Isso significa que, ou você não tem o plugin correto do GStreamer instalado, ou que você não tem uma placa de som configurada. Você pode remover o controle de volume do painel clicando com o botão direito no ícone do auto-falante no painel e selecionando "Remover do Painel" no menu." I hope you can fix it soon.
