Ah, but you didn't mention -persist in your bug report 😉 -persist currently does not work well in ioctl mode and not at all in netlink mode. The behavior of the ioctl interface required for the -persist option has been removed because it caused problems. This means that -persist in ioctl mode will reconnect when it isn't supposed to, or not when it is.
There are plans to implement that for the netlink interface, but they haven't materialised yet. They will involve using the netlink monitor api of nbd. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2165126 Title: nbdroot on resolute: nbd-client process dies immediately, nbd device will not reconnect after server restart or network interruption To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nbd/+bug/2165126/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
