Public bug reported:
The resolute 26.04.1 ISO has pulled in gnome-shell.
On investigation notification-daemon has been removed from the ISO
manifest. As to why not sure.
Talking through with the release team, adding a suggestion to add a
blocklist for gnome-shell together with switching to dependencies rather
than recommendations for two likely packages (notification-daemon &
policykit-1-gnome) that network-applet and update-notifier are using as
alternates are enough to make germinate and anything not to suggest pull
in gnome-shell.
