After updating linux-image-oem-24.04d from 6.17.0-1030.30 to
6.17.0-1032.32 (system update on 2026-08-17), the kvm_amd kernel
module now auto-loads at boot with 0 active references:

No libvirtd, docker, or qemu processes are running - the module is
loaded but genuinely unused. Before this kernel update, VirtualBox
7.0.16 could start VMs using AMD-V without conflict. After the update,
starting any VM fails with:
"VirtualBox can't enable the AMD-V extension. Please disable the KVM
kernel extension, recompile your kernel and reboot (VERR_SVM_IN_USE)."
Workaround: manually running "sudo modprobe -r kvm_amd kvm" before
starting VirtualBox resolves the issue every time, confirming this is
an auto-load regression (likely initramfs/udev rule change between
1030 and 1032) rather than a VirtualBox-side issue.
System: ThinkPad L16 Gen 2, AMD CPU, kernel 6.17.0-1032-oem (OEM kernel)

Expected: VirtualBox should be able to acquire AMD-V after boot, as it

Actual: VirtualBox fails to start any VM with VERR_SVM_IN_USE because
kvm_amd auto-loaded at boot despite no process using it.
