- While running an affected Ubuntu kernel, open a terminal and copy and
paste the command below. It will add the diagnostic information directly

I think I've found one interesting lead to check, however it would
require you to build your own Ubuntu kernel. It looks like there is a
patch currently being worked on in upstream

which I think tries to resolve similar issue. If you are willing to
build your own Ubuntu kernel, you can find instruction here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/BuildYourOwnKernel. So basically you'd
need to download the sources, apply patch on top of it and build it.
