Details: Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS, Gnome 46, Wayland, Linux 7.0.0-28-generic The exists for me even on a fresh install of 24.04 LTS! (I haven't checked 26.04 yet)
My *guess* is that this is some sort of misconfiguration of IBus (or something related to it) because: 1. Stopping IBus by running `ibus exit` in a terminal makes this issue go away completely (including on browsers). 2. This issue doesnt exist on KDE Plasma (Because KDE Plasma doesnt seem to start IBus out of the box) 3. Once you set up IBus on Plasma, it also starts experiencing a similar bug (for the same inputs,instead of "āā" you get "'āa") Though there *is* an outlier: the bug does *not* happen on the Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS installer. The environment variables are the same as a full install (QT_IM_METHOD set to ibus) and IBus *is* running in the background. (Maybe its possible to find the difference between the installer config and the OS config?)
