GPU: Intel Iris Xe (Tiger Lake)
Ubuntu: 24.04.4 LTS
Kernel 6.17.0-40: Brightness works normally.
Kernel 7.0.0-28: Screen becomes extremely dim immediately after Ubuntu starts 
loading.
Dell logo during boot is bright.
GNOME brightness slider shows 100%.
/sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness reports 1023, but the display 
remains very dim.
Rebooting into 6.17.0-40 restores normal brightness.
