Additional confirmation: This is a regression. The exact same ThinkPad, USB-C dock, HDMI cables, and two-monitor configuration worked correctly on Kubuntu 24.04 LTS.
The issue began only after installing Kubuntu 26.04 LTS. Blacklisting evdi and testing amdgpu.dc=0 did not resolve the freeze.
