I just ran into this bug myself. It's a really big deal for me because wings freezes the entire GUI for me (maybe it's taking over fullscreen?) I sshed into my computer and killed the "beam" application, I got my gui back, but the mouse was broken, applications seemed to respond like normal but I had no mouse, which was frustrating, rebooting gave me my mouse back though. killall -9-ing the "wings3d" program produces the same results.
