I keep getting crashes from maliit-keyboard whenever I hit Meta+Tab to
switch windows. It happens every single time, 100% reproducible. Still
happening as of right now.

The crash is a bad allocation (qBadAlloc) and looking at the stack trace
it dies in the Wayland surrounding_text handler. Here's the relevant
part of the backtrace:

Maliit::Wayland::InputMethodContext::zwp_input_method_context_v1_surrounding_text()
wl_display_dispatch_queue_pending()
So KWin sends a surrounding_text event when Meta+Tab opens the task
switcher, and maliit tries to make a QString out of it but something
goes wrong, either the pointer is bad, the length is garbage, or the
UTF-8 is malformed. Either way it should handle this gracefully instead
of aborting.
I don't even use an on screen keyboard, I have a physical keyboard. But
maliit-keyboard is running anyway and crashing constantly.
This got really bad when my disk was almost full (98%). Every crash made
a core dump, the coredumps got corrupted, then the journal got
corrupted, and eventually my whole session fell apart: fonts turned to
boxes, the power button showed an error icon, plasmashell crashed,
flatpak apps wouldn't start. Had to hard reboot.

Also I tried to stop it with systemctl but there's no service unit for
it. It just runs as a regular process from my session somehow.
