Hi Matt, thank you very much for your very fast answer. Your first guess was the right one. I also edited the /etc/environment-file before I shutdown my ubuntu the last time. I inserted an entry to bring the Java- and Derby- DB-binaries to the path. That was completely misformated...
I deleted the mentioned line and ubuntu is working again! Thank you so much. The bug is fixed!
