You have been subscribed to a public bug: If I press the Win key to activate brisk-menu, and my mouse pointer is located in the top left where the drop-down menu will appear, whatever menu field is under the cursor will grab the focus instead of the typing field. So I cannot just start typing to search for the program that I want to launch.
If the mouse pointer is outside the drop-down menu when I press the Win key, it works as expected, the typing field gets focus and I can type to search. This is on Ubuntu Mate 24.04 with brisk-menu 0.6.2 (package mate-applet-brisk-menu 0.6.2-2build2). The window manager is marco 1.26.2-4build4 (running as marco --replace --composite). Not sure where I can report this upstream, since Solus is not maintaining brisk-menu any longer, if I understand this comment correctly: https://github.com/getsolus/brisk-menu/issues/56#issuecomment-1751421282 ** Affects: brisk-menu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: brisk-menu noble resolute -- brisk-menu typing field doesn't grab focus if pointer in menu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2067045 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
