Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: acpid

I use kubuntu distribution. With Feisty suspend/resume and hibernate
works perfectly well in this laptop (well, a couple of times getting a
blank screen after resume, so I had to reboot, but only 2 out of 1000 or
something like that).

I have recently installed kubuntu Gutsy and... :-( I use the propietary
Nvidia driver and I know the problems of this driver with suspend/resume
in Gutsy. Following advice:

1. I have added the line "Option "NvAGP" "1"" in Section
"Device" of xorg.conf
2. I have changed options SAVE_VBE_STATE and POST_VIDEO to false in
/etc/default/acpi-support

After that suspend/resume seemed to work, but:

1.- Many times after resume, the sound doesn't work. Modules are loaded but no
sound is heared!!! (yes, I restarted artsd and nothing happens). Audio device
is (lspci):
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition
Audio Controller (rev 01)
2.- After second or third suspend I always got a blank screen forcing me to
reset laptop (with the corresponding danger to break disk).

I simply can't understand that something that worked perfectly in Feisty
no longer works in Gutsy, with newer and superior kernel and ACPI :-¿?
The suspend/resume feature is crucial when working with a laptop and I
no longer can trust on it. Thanks a lot!
