I get the same result when attempting a file save. New install of Ubuntu
26.04 AMD64.

The ubuntu version of torbrowser-launcher downloads the firefox-
torbrowser and installs it in deep in the user's home directory. Once
installed, a log can be generated with:

cd $HOME/.local/share/torbrowser/tbb/x86_64/tor-browser/Browser
./start-tor-browser --log $HOME/tor-debug.txt

The crash log (attached) starts with:

(Tor Browser:4900): Gtk-WARNING **: 19:23:01.470: Could not load a pixbuf from
icon theme.
This may indicate that pixbuf loaders or the mime database could not be found.

And the error that causes it to bail out is:

Gtk:ERROR:../../../gtk/gtkiconhelper.c:495:ensure_surface_for_gicon: assertion
failed (error == NULL):
Failed to load /usr/share/icons/Yaru/16x16/status/image-missing.png: No image
loaders are configured.
You might need to install a package like glycin-loaders

I've been Googling the above and it seems that similar problems have
been seen elsewhere with other apps, but I'm still looking for a fix.

(Exactly the same version of the firefox-torbrowser [15.0.16, based on
Mozilla Firefox 140.12.0esr] is downloaded onto Ubuntu 24.04.4 but that
one works fine.)
