Currently, Resolute riscv64 images are failing to build. See: - https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-cdimage/+livefs/ubuntu/resolute/ubuntu/+build/975343 - https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-cdimage/+livefs/ubuntu/resolute/xubuntu-minimal/+build/974788 The fail currently is: E: Unable to locate package linux-generic-hwe-24.04 E: Couldn't find any package by glob 'linux-generic-hwe-24.04' E: Couldn't find any package by regex 'linux-generic-hwe-24.04' This is only one of the different failures that were encountered in Stonking. The main other one, relevant to livecd-rootfs, is the handling of devicetrees (hardcoded to copy from "ubuntu-server.squashfs". Those changes have been applied in Stonking and we need to SRU them to Resolute. [ Test Plan ] Make sure that all riscv64 images still build. Make sure that all other images still build. Given the nature of the upload, this will be automatically done by the daily pipeline and we will be able to check for regressions. The changes have been applied early in Stonking and have shown no issues, so we expect the same in Resolute. [ Where problems could occur ] As with any change to livecd-rootfs, any image build could break. We need to pay extra attention to the riscv64 images, for server and the new desktop images.
