Any update? I still confirm that we should follow what's done on Debian and remove the qualcomm DSP firmwares from linux-firmware-qualcomm-misc (and add Depends: firmware-qcom-dsp).
I don't think having the Provides: firmware-qcom-dsp is a good idea. That means updating the firmwares (linux-firmware-qualcomm-misc) could be blocked by hexgaon-dsp-binaries pacakges. If a DSP firmware is updated, the dsp binaries must be as well. If they are from a different source package, only one might be updated. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2148674 Title: Conflicts with firmware-qcom-dsp To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-firmware-qualcomm-misc/+bug/2148674/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
