Thank you for this valuable review that I will for sure address in the next upload.
I believe d) deserves more explanations in the context of this MIR: * linux-nvidia indeed does not exist in Stonking, and it may never exist. It's one of these LTS-only kernels. * we're working on having nvidia / the canonical kernel team publish this kernel on the interim release, but the progress is not great. * this is why I put linux-nvidia as a `Recommends` and not a `Depends`. So that apt won't fail if it is missing. It's nice to have the optimized kernel, but the generic kernel provide a good-enough desktop experience. * I am unsure what the implications are for this MIR. FWIW linux-nvidia is in main. * My real objective is to have dgx-desktop-defaults with the desktop ISO. Again, the kernel will be missing and again, I'm not sure how reasonable that request will be. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2154816 Title: [MIR] dgx-desktop-defaults To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dgx-desktop-defaults/+bug/2154816/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
