Public bug reported:

On Ubuntu 26.04, booting Xen with multiboot2 on x86_64 EFI platform
hangs in GRUB. Serial/Display output is stuck at

Loading Xen 4.20-amd64...
Loading Linux 7.0.0-22-generic...
Loading initial ramdisk...

The root cause is that GRUB bugs triggers #PF,causing panic in EFI
firmware. The controls are not handled to Xen.

I've purposed upstream changes fixing the issue at
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gnu-grub/grub/-/merge_requests/122 (Merged)
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/gnu-grub/grub/-/merge_requests/141

And requesting a backport in current 26.04 LTS release to fix that
issue.

The packages I installed and observed the bugs are:

xen-system-amd64 4.20.2+7-g1badcf5035-2build2
grub-efi-amd64 2.14-2ubuntu2
