Update to this old report: it was still present after upgrading to 26.04, which finally prompted me to dig back into troubleshooting. It turns out the problem was systemd freezing the user session on suspend, which is its default behavior on Ubuntu. I followed the instructions at https://simongreenwood.me.uk/fixing-a-frozen-screen-caused-by- systemd-256/ to add a custom .conf file to /etc/systemd/system/systemd- suspend.service.d (creating the directory if it doesn't exist) containing:
[Service] Environment="SYSTEMD_SLEEP_FREEZE_USER_SESSIONS=false" This appeared to fully resolve the problem on my computer. No freezes over the past week. I hope this fix holds! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2024336 Title: LG Gram hangs at black screen on suspend on Ubuntu 23.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2024336/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
