Public bug reported:
In Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS, apt full-upgrade wanted to upgrade me from Nvidia
driver 470 to 535. That is, from 470.256.02-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 to
535.309.01-0ubuntu0.24.04.1. It seems wrong because I have a GeForce GT
710 and https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/details/267227/ says that
my card is not supported by that driver. It only supports GeForce GTX
750 Ti, GeForce GTX 750 and GeForce GTX 745 from the 700 series.
I did not upgrade and instead added the following packages to hold:
libnvidia-common-470
linux-objects-nvidia-535-6.8.0-124-generic
linux-signatures-nvidia-6.8.0-124-generic
nvidia-driver-470
nvidia-kernel-common-470
(Today I learned that a hold can prevent a package from being installed.
I don't understand what wanted to install the linux-* packages above,
even though the nvidia holds prevented upgrading to the 535 driver. But
adding the holds prevented that.)
