I'm was not looking for an argument, and I don't believe the way I described the issue suggested this to be the case. I noticed that I wasn't getting notifications for updates and upon looking into it I saw that there was already a bug posted. Rather than raise a new bug I have responded that the issue highlighted in the bug is still present.
To confirm, users will not be notified of any updates, as intended behaviour. Security updates are automatically applied, and non-security updates will presumably only be applied at version upgrade, which, since change is applied to LTS version, is 2 years. Is my understanding correct? If not, I am unsure how non-security updates are indicated to the user outside of terminal, or enabling indicator in gsettings. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2148611 Title: No way to enable the update indicator To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/update-notifier/+bug/2148611/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
