you thinking that canonical is going out of their way to break your system is offensive, what do they have to gain from doing that! nvidia wants you to buy a new gpu. they make money off of it. so they aren't cooperative with people at canonical. you're losing your friends who are trying to help you. like i said go buy a new gpu from nvidia. they want you to do that. if you don't believe me then go on nvidia's website and "rant" about your problem and see if they gonna even bother to talk to you like a human being or they would just be dismissive and talk to you like you're poor and can't afford their systems. see for yourself. i know it's bad news but it's the truth. i am not saying canonical won't fix the issue. i am just saying that comments and overall attitude on this bug is just one big misunderstanding. ever asked yourself why this just keep happening to nvidia gpus not intel! again you are just losing the only people that are trying to help you. and frankly i can't stand it. i am not with canonical and i have bought an nvidia gpu like you did. despite of their reputation. but i realized my mistake. they want me to buy the gpu more expensive than the msrp and then throw it away after 3 or 4 years and buy another. that's what i signed up for. and i just have to live with the consequences.
