1. Use latest, fully updated clean installation of Ubuntu 26.04.
2. Run "sudo apt install bazaar" to install the latest Bazaar package.
3. Run "dpkg -l bazaar" to confirm the installed version.
4. Open the GNOME Shell Overview and type something (to activate background 
service).
5. Run "ps aux|grep bazaar" to verify that the background service is running.
6. Run "bazaar" and see if the first-time setup dialog appears.

7. Enable the "resolute-proposed" repository.
8. Run "sudo apt install -t resolute-proposed bazaar".
9. Run "pkill bazaar".
10. Open the GNOME Shell Overview and type something (to activate background 
service).
11. Run "ps aux|grep bazaar" to verify that the background service is running.
12. Run "bazaar" and see if the first-time setup dialog appears.
13. Run "dpkg -l bazaar" to confirm the installed version.

$ dpkg -l bazaar
bazaar 0.7.8-1ubuntu1.1

I can confirm that the first-time setup dialog is now correctly
