@Julian We try to avoid making virt stack packaging & dependency even more complex, especially for this case where packagekit not using the latest solver
Is there any reason to not move packagekit to the new solver ? I did the test for the second proposal you make of demoting the Priority of qemu-system-x86-hwe to extra and it works: $ pkgcli install virt-manager nows install 6 more packages: > libvirt-daemon-driver-qemu_12.0.0-1ubuntu5.amd64 > virtualization daemon - QEMU connection driver 203a205 > libvirt-daemon-system_12.0.0-1ubuntu5.amd64 > virtualization daemon - typical QEMU-based deployment 259a262 > qemu-system-common_1:10.2.1+ds-1ubuntu3.amd64 QEMU > full system emulation binaries (common files) 260a264,267 > qemu-system-gui_1:10.2.1+ds-1ubuntu3.amd64 QEMU > full system emulation binaries (graphical display and audio modules) > qemu-system-modules-opengl_1:10.2.1+ds-1ubuntu3.amd64 QEMU > full system emulation binaries (OpenGL display modules) > qemu-system-modules-spice_1:10.2.1+ds-1ubuntu3.amd64 QEMU > full system emulation binaries (spice display modules) > qemu-system-x86_1:10.2.1+ds-1ubuntu3.amd64 QEMU > full system emulation binaries (x86) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2148469 Title: `libvirt-daemon-driver-qemu` prefers `qemu-system-x86-hwe` to satisfy `qemu-kvm | qemu-system` dependency To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/2148469/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
