Confirmed: when using byobu-layout with more than ~6 panes, the tiled
layout collapses to a single horizontal split because tmux's select-
layout tiled has a pane-count limit before it degrades. This is upstream
tmux behaviour; byobu-layout could detect the limit and warn, or use
even-horizontal/even-vertical as a fallback. Triaging as Low.
