Debian Import freeze for the Resolute release has infinite dependency
wait for golang-google-api, golang-google-cloud, and golang-google-
genproto because the Build-Depends are cyclic (see below). These
packages are blocking the rclone build, see LP: #2151824.
There are two cycles:
golang-google-cloud (0.123.0-3)
Build-Depends: golang-google-api-dev (>= 0.276.0~)
golang-google-api (0.276.0-2)
Build-Depends: golang-google-cloud-dev (>= 0.115.0~)
golang-google-cloud (0.123.0-3)
Build-Depends: golang-google-genproto-dev (>= 0.0~git20260414.afd174a~),
golang-google-genproto (0.0~git20260414.afd174a-1)
Build-Depends: golang-google-cloud-dev (>= 0.117.0~)
I have a build of golang-google-cloud (0.123.0-3) with golang-google-api
(0.276.0-2) and golang-google-genproto (0.0~git20260414.afd174a-1)
vendored. That build is likely to pass once stonking-proposed has a new
enough version of golang-google-grpc; that build is currently blocked on
LP: #2155158.
The plan is:
- Wait for the FTBFS from LP: #2155158 to resolve so that
golang-google-grpc-dev (1.81.1-1) is available
- Upload golang-google-cloud (0.123.0-3ubuntu1) with:
- Vendored golang-google-api (0.276.0-2)
- Vendored golang-google-genproto (0.0~git20260414.afd174a-1)
- (This should unblock the builds for golang-google-api (0.276.0-2) and
golang-google-genproto (0.0~git20260414.afd174a-1))
- Upload golang-google-cloud (0.123.0-3ubuntu2) to drop the vendored
dependencies
