I installed linux-image-2.6.24-4-generic today (2.6.24-4.7) and couldn't
get to boot it at all. :-( With ACPI enabled it hangs at the same place
as it did before (see attached screenshot). With acpi=off and acpi=ht it
hung after detecting my CD drive.

I'm writing this on a kernel from the rt2x00-development git tree, so I
guess uname -a, /proc/version_signature don't make much sense. I've
already attached dmesg of a vanilla kernel and lspci -vvnn output.

I'd be glad to try out whatever you might suggest to track down this
bug. Thanks for your help.
