@mruffell this patch is not being backported further than caracal because prior to that we use libvirt 8.0.0 (the one in jammy-updates) which does not have this problem or support the managed flag. So we are only backporting to Noble/Caracal UCA since that uses libvirt 10.0.0.
@ahasenack the Nova patch here is not Calico specific and actually relates generically to the addition of a pre-existing tap device. However to exercise that code we would need e.g. Calico which we can't get in Ubuntu. You are right to point out that we are not actually exercising the patch itself with the provided test case though and it is possible there is another driver available that we could be used instead providing it behaves in the same way. I will defer back to @ioanalazea to check that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2033681 Title: Calico still uses vif type tap and it causes failures with libvirt 9.5.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-archive/+bug/2033681/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
