Thanks for the report! We should try to figure out why the tmpfs interferes
with your quota commands.
Can you please run:
strace -fy -0 /tmp/quota.trace quotacheck -vug "/data"
(and/or other commands that failed for you) and attach the `quota.trace` output
log file here?
Then we can see what the program tries to interact with the Linux kernel, and
hopefully see how tmpfs is related to this - I would expect it to only operate
on the quotas of the given /data directory.
