I am seeing similar repeatable display resume and suspend failures on the same laptop hardware that Arno reported above (using the Intel Meteor Lake-P integrated GPU with the `i915` driver). I attached a text file containing the specific DDI/DP/vblank/display-pipe error logs I'm seeing.
In addition to these suspend/resume failures, I'm also experiencing this issue after the screen simply turns off due to inactivity after around the same time (~20 mins). Wifi, sound and other peripherals keep working fine, and a connected external display does sometimes wake up after waiting for around 30 seconds. However, this only works temporarily as the entire system ends up fully freezing after some period of time. Things I have tried so far: - Lowering the internal panel from 165 Hz to 60 Hz did not prevent the issue. - Adding `i915.enable_psr=0` to GRUB did not prevent the issue. ** Attachment added: "The specific failure logs I'm seeing for the intel driver" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2150732/+attachment/5969311/+files/intel-journalctl-failure-logs.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2150732 Title: Screen stays black after resuming from sleep To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2150732/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
