I wouldn't know. Has upstream continued to break their API? I was intrigued by the promise of what xpra could do, but found the reality of it to be rather "unusable for any real task".
Having a quick look through the bug reports here seems to confirm the problem that I previously identified with xpra: upstream always suggests to run the latest code and while that newer release may or not address your current problem you are basically guaranteed to run into some other big issue that will prevent you from using the software productively in a meaningful way. My impression was it is perpetually broken. Polishing up one release to make it usable before introducing the newest shiny features didn't appear as a priority. So, the ticket can certainly be closed as obsolete. I believe the underlying issue was never fixed, though. ** Also affects: xpra (Debian) via https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=805751 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Changed in: xpra (Debian) Importance: Unknown => Undecided ** Changed in: xpra (Debian) Status: Unknown => New ** Changed in: xpra (Debian) Remote watch: Debian Bug tracker #805751 => None ** No longer affects: xpra (Debian) ** Summary changed: - version incompatibilities + version incompatibilities (API breakage) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1589336 Title: version incompatibilities (API breakage) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xpra/+bug/1589336/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
