Public bug reported:

I have a USB-C connector for Thunderbolt/USB3 on my laptop.

If I plug in an external USB3 drive nothing happens. (Nothing in dmesg
and it doesn't show up under removable Drives in Dolphin).

If I then type lspci then one of two things happens

a) the drive becomes visible to the system, and can be mounted, or

b) the lspci command takes a long time, and there is a kernel bug report
in dmesg (attached here)

Once the drive is visible it can be mounted and seems to work fine. But
if I then unmount it, unplug it and plug it back in again the kernel bug
reports seem to happen on every lspci run.

This system dual-boots MS Windows, and the port behaves OK there.
I also think that it was OK on Questing.
