Public bug reported:

1st bug:
1.1 The Folder Mismatch: The linux-firmware package installs to
/lib/firmware/amdnpu/1502_00/, but the amdxdna driver in Kernel 7.0.0-15
searches for /lib/firmware/amdnpu/17f0_10/.
1.2 Firmware stored as compressed zstd, amdxdna driver unable to load it.

$ ls /lib/firmware/amdnpu/1502_00/
npu.sbin.1.5.2.380.zst npu.sbin.1.5.5.391.zst npu.sbin.zst npu_7.sbin.zst

2nd bug:
The Protocol Break: The package provides 1.5.5 (Protocol Major 7) by default.
The stock kernel driver (v0.7) only supports Protocol Major 6.

The Symptom: Loading the provided 1.5.5 firmware causes a hard boot hang
with the error "aie2_hw_start: hardware is not alive"

Working Version: Mention that you manually confirmed 1.1.2.64 works as a
transitional bridge, but the package is missing this or better-matched
versions.

fix:

mkdit -p /lib/firmware/amdnpu/17f0_10
wget
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/plain/amdnpu/17f0_10/npu.sbin.1.1.2.64
 -O /lib/firmware/amdnpu/17f0_10/npu.sbin
