Public bug reported:

Testing the current Ubuntu 26.04 Daily Build (Live USB). The Quectel
EM120R-GL WWAN modem is correctly recognized by Kernel 7.0 and
ModemManager. FCC unlock script runs successfully. However,
NetworkManager fails to establish the connection and disconnects
immediately.

Hardware:
Lenovo ThinkPad P14s
Modem: Quectel EM120R-GL

Steps to reproduce:

Boot Ubuntu 26.04 Daily Live USB

Apply FCC unlock via terminal (sudo ln -sft /etc/ModemManager/fcc-
unlock.d ...)

    Restart ModemManager and NetworkManager

Add correct APN (web.vodafone.de) and set IPv4 to auto, IPv6 to
disabled

    Connect via nmcli connection up

Expected behavior:
Connection successfully established.

Actual behavior:
Connection fails with "Unknown error".

Logs (journalctl -u NetworkManager):
device (wwan0mbim0): error setting IPv4 forwarding to '0': Invalid argument
state change: prepare -> disconnected (reason 'user-requested', managed-type:
'full')

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
