** Description changed:

  SRU Justification:

  [Impact]

  Intel has only core102 PV firmware for AX211/BE211/BE213 on Intel
  Wildcat Lake. While that's only supported by backport-iwlwifi-
  dkms/release right now, we need to use it in linux-oem-6.17.

  [Fix]

- 1. for firmware, need to backport upstream commit b21b48725314
- ("iwlwifi: add Bz/Wh FW for core102-56 release") to linux-
- firmware/noble;
+ 1. for firmware, need to backport upstream commits to linux-firmware/noble:
+    - b21b487253 ("iwlwifi: add Bz/Wh FW for core102-56 release")
+    - f56580c068 ("iwlwifi: add Bz/Sc FW for core103-40 release")

  2. for backport-iwlwifi, this depends on backport-iwlwifi fixes in bug
  2146804

  [Test Plan]

  Check wifi link availability with `ip` or `iw`.

  [Where problems could occur]

  backport-iwlwifi is not recommended whenever the in-tree module is
  available and supports the equipped hardware.

  With the latest mainline v7.0-rcX kernel, the supported iwlwifi CoreAPI
  is c101, and expecting to have c102 until v7.1 is released. It follows,
  to retire the use of backport-iwlwifi-dkms in linux-oem-6.17, the linux-
  hwe-7.0 is not sufficient and an even later HWE kernel from Ubuntu 26.10
  should be used. We're still seeking the possibilities to retire
  backport-iwlwifi as soon as possible.

  [Other Info]

  Nominate for kernel linux-oem-6.17 only, because linux/resolute is
  already compiled with backport-iwlwifi core103.

  Nominate for linux-firmware/noble only, because the required firmware
  blobs are already in linux-firmware/resolute.

  ========== original bug report ==========

  The PV firmware iwlwifi-bz-b0-wh-b0 for Intel BE211(WhP2)/BE213(SpP2) is
  going to be released with firmware Core API 102, and that's only
  available since mainline kernel v7.2 (currently core101 for v7.1-rc5).
  By pulling backport-iwlwifi-dkms/resolute version >= 1:0~103 to linux-
  oem-6.17 dkms-versions, we may use prebuilt linux-modules-iwlwifi to
  support aforementioned wireless hardware with linux-oem-6.17 in Noble.
