> There is no such issue with Ptyxis on Fedora. I couldn't quite figure out what fedora is doing to launch the terminal, since it's not using xdg-terminal-exec and it's not using org.gnome.desktop.default-applications.terminal.
We're using xdg-terminal-exec which launches ptyxis in a specific way that enables supporting "Open in Terminal" from nautilus, but introduces this quirk. I've proposed a solution here which I intend to backport for 26.04: https://gitlab.gnome.org/chergert/ptyxis/-/merge_requests/140 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2143649 Title: Opening Vim from Apps menu opens two terminal windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ptyxis/+bug/2143649/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
